You're invited to our Friends of Medicare Red Deer Chapter's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m.!

Join friends, supporters, and members from Red Deer and surrounding communities in discussing our advocacy over the previous year and how we can continue strengthening health care in the Central Alberta region. We'll be meeting in-person at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. If you haven't already, make sure to renew your Friends of Medicare membership ahead of the meeting!

We also start off our event with a talk from special guest Susan Samson. A long-time advocate for public health care, Samson served as Mayor of the Town of Sylvan Lake from 2007 to 2012. She is currently the chair of the Sylvan Lake and Area Urgent Care Committee and helped to create the Advanced Ambulatory Care. She'll be speaking about the opportunities and challenges facing urgent care in Central Alberta, as well as how we can assume responsibility for strengthening health care in our local communities.
