Friends of Medicare attended a luncheon in Calgary today organized by the Economic Club of Canada, where PC leadership front-runner Jim Prentice announced his health care policy. The policy was short and included little detail.
"It was disappointing that Mr. Prentice offered so little in the way of policy or insight into views of universal health care," indicated Sandra Azocar, Executive Director of Friends of Medicare.
The announcement included his 5 priorities and details from his education announcement released yesterday, leaving very little time for him to explain his positions on health care.
"Mr. Prentice provided no specifics on his plan to improve our health care system," added Azocar. "His 'policy' was full of generalities, and Albertans deserve more from any individual hoping to be our next Premier."
