Friends of Medicare will be joining Edmonton City Councilor Michael Janz and harm reduction advocates and organizations for this important public education event and screening of "Love in the Time of Fentanyl."
Albertans are dying in record numbers from drug poisoning, while families and communities mourn loved ones who died without access to the care and supports they needed and deserved. But instead of changing course, our provincial government remains rooted in rhetoric over evidence, and has been steadfast in its unwillingness to support life-saving, evidence-based, harm reduction approaches.
Join us for this timely event on the importance of public health and evidence-based public policy! The event will include naloxone training, harm-reduction reception, film screening, and presentations from medical and public health experts—including our Executive Director, Chris Gallaway.
