Join us this Friday in Calgary as we rally to support the AUPE front line staff at Clifton Manor who have been trying to negotiate a deal for over a year that will put them closer to equality with other health care workers.

Like most private long-term care facilities, Clifton Manor receives funding from Alberta Health Services to hire and retain front line staff, yet those staff are being told at the negotiating table they are worth less than their fellow workers at AHS or other facilities.

We've seen from experience that equitable contracts for front line staff improve recruitment and retention of quality care givers and support workers.

Public dollars should not be used to further inequality among our hard working front line staff. We're thankful the workers and their representatives in AUPE are speaking up about this issue and we hope to see you there.

Speakers will include representatives from the staff and AUPE as well as our Executive Director Sandra Azocar.
