Friends of Medicare is pleased to invite you to our annual Fundraiser Dinner and Silent Auction!

When:  Thursday, October 1, 2026
Time:  Registration opens at 5:30 pm, dinner begins at 6:15 pm
Where:  Chateau Louis Hotel & Conference Centre, Edmonton

Our annual dinner and silent auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It's a chance for our friends, allies and members to come together in celebration of our collective accomplishments over the past year, and to help support the important work that lays ahead. Join us for a delicious meal, warm company, and a good cause.

We're excited to announce that we will be joined for a special performance from musician, Zach Moostoos-Willier!  

Zach Moostoos-Willier is a 21 year old Cree and Métis neo-traditional singer, songwriter and fiddler from Sucker Creek First Nation. In 2022, he represented Western Canada for the launch of the UNESCO Decade of Indigenous Languages in Ottawa, and in 2023, he was one of the two first recipients to receive the Stirling John Foundation support for indigenous youth in Alberta.

His first album, “The New Sound Of Zach Willier” was released in 2023, and in April 2026 he achieved a number 1 record on the Indigenous Music Countdown with his single, “Sad Songs.”
