We're Hiring: Outreach and Fundraiser

We're Hiring: Outreach and Fundraiser

Since 1979, Friends of Medicare have played an important role in protecting and strengthening universal public health care in Alberta and across Canada. We are a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of seniors’ organizations, labour organizations, cultural, faith and community groups, and physician, patients and individual Albertans.

Our members share a concern for the preservation of the five principles of Medicare: comprehensive coverage, universality, accessibility, portability, and public administration on a non-profit basis. We continue to work to advocate for protecting and expanding the universal coverage of the Medicare umbrella and the need to ensure services are not just publicly funded, but publicly delivered.
