Conference 2018 - Setting the Stage for 2019

You're invited to Friends of Medicare's 2018 Conference, "Setting the Stage for 2019: Ushering in Progressive Health Policy."

For decades Friends of Medicare have played an important role in defending Canada’s universal public health system in Alberta and nationally. Since the changes in governments in 2015, we’ve worked hard to educate new MLAs and MPs on the need for improved and expanded health care. 2018 marks a key moment of opportunity to ensure that a commitment to our public health care system is front and centre for the 2019 election cycle.

This health policy conference will bring together expert voices on the issues of pharmacare, private clinics, and seniors care, including:
  • Dr. Michael Rachlis
  • Steven Shrybman
  • Marc-André Gagnon
  • Andrew Longhurst
  • Ricardo Acuña
As well as a panel of representatives from Alberta's political parties, on their 2019 platforms for health policy.

Doors open at 8:30 am, panels at 9:00. The conference will be followed by Friends of Medicare's AGM at 4:00 pm, which you are welcome to attend. For more information about our AGM, click here.
Tickets are $50.00 per person and includes lunch. If the ticket price is a barrier to you attending the conference, please let us know and we can make alternate arrangements.
