Annual General Meeting

Friends of Medicare invite you to our AGM on Wednesday, May 5 at 6:00. In the interest of safety in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year's meeting will be held online, via Zoom. Join us for a special presentation on the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on seniors in Canada, followed by our Annual General Meeting.

We are pleased to announce that our guest speaker will be André Picard, award-winning national health writer and author! Picard is is one of Canada’s top health and public policy observers and commentators, a health reporter and columnist for The Globe and Mail, and the author of five bestselling books.
Plus, attendees will have a chance to take home one of several free copies of Picard's latest book, Neglected No More: The Urgent Need to Improve the Lives of Canada's Elders in the Wake of a Pandemic!

The AGM is open to the public, but only members in good standing of Friends of Medicare will be able to run for positions on our board, vote, and participate in the discussion. Memberships are available for $20 for a regular individual membership, or $5 for a limited income membership. To renew your membership ahead of time, click here.
Elections will be held for Board of Directors positions for the upcoming year. Only members in good standing will be eligible to vote. Nominations may be accepted in writing to [email protected].
