Private Clinics Tour - Lethbridge

Private Clinics: Problem or Solution to Accessing Health Care in Alberta (Lethbridge)

Join us for a free, public town hall event to discuss issues related to the privatization of healthcare. We will focus on research from the University of Alberta's Parkland Institute and their recent "Blurred Lines" report which takes a look at the proliferation of private membership clinics across Alberta, which charge annual membership fees for combined physician and complementary practitioner care.

Speakers include:
Dr. Trevor Harrison, Director of Parkland Institute
Sandra Azocar, Executive Director of Friends of Medicare
There will be time following the speakers for questions and discussion.
The event is free and open to the public. We are in room A&B of the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization. Doors open at 6:15 with the event starting at 6:30 pm. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
The Facebook event can be found here.

This is event one of four of our provincial tour. We will also be in Medicine Hat on April 24, Calgary on April 25, and Edmonton on April 26. Please share with anyone you think may be interested!
